Our story.


We did not choose Northeast Texas because of a market report. We chose it because this is home.

Shannon and Scott Miles started the Shannon Miles Group with a simple conviction: that real estate in a small town deserves the same strategic thinking and professional execution you would expect from a major metro firm, delivered with the warmth and trust that only local roots can provide.

Both came from backgrounds that shaped their approach. Shannon brought corporate marketing strategy, a sharp eye for detail, and the discipline to build a plan before making a move. Scott brought deep local knowledge, an instinct for rural and land transactions, and the kind of judgment that comes from knowing a place inside and out.

Together, they saw something in Northeast Texas that others overlooked. A region with deep roots, affordable real estate, and communities that still value relationships over transactions. A place where a handshake still means something, where neighbors look out for each other, and where the land carries history.

They built the Shannon Miles Group around that vision. From their storefront office at 2322 Lamar Ave. in Paris, Texas, they serve clients across homes, land, acreage, new construction, commercial properties, and the broader rural lifestyle of the region. They are founding members of the eXp Land and Ranch Division, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialists, and Graduate REALTOR Institute designees.

The Origin

How the SMiles Experience began.


Somewhere along the way, clients started calling it the SMiles Experience. Not because Shannon and Scott asked them to. Because working with them felt different. It was the warmth of knowing your agent genuinely cared about the outcome. The strategy of having a plan before you listed or offered. The protection of a team that reviewed every detail so nothing slipped through the cracks.

The name stuck because it described something real. A way of doing business that put the client first, avoided generic speak, and delivered clarity at every turn.
